Mormon God: Children Must REPUDIATE Apostate Parents.

Repudiate

A few days ago, The Mormon Church, also known as the Latter-day Saints, openly published their General Handbook for church governance.  In the past, these instructions were held in secret and were only accessible by TOP church leadership from bishops to general authorities.  Several policies have changed.  Here, I’m going to focus on one of them that directly affects my family.

Children must Disavow Gay Parents

In November 2015, the Mormon Church implemented a dreadful new policy that contained the following provisions:

  • Children of LGBT parents would be prohibited from baby blessings, baptism priesthood ordination and admittance to the temple.
  • When children of LGBT parents reached the age of 18, with approval from the First Presidency, baptism would become an option.
  • Before baptism, the 18 year old  must move out of their LGBT parent’s home.
  • To qualify for baptism, the 18 year old must disavow the lifestyle of his or her parents.

The leaders of the Mormon Church announced that this policy was a direct revelation from god!!  3 1/2 years later, the Mormon god changed his mind and rescinded this policy of exclusion and disavowal.  During the intervening years, thousands of members streamed out of the church in opposition to these unChristlike regulations.  It has been tragically reported that many LGBT youth chose to end their lives in the face of such a hateful and harmful policy.  Fortunately, the God of the Mormons got the memo and sent the new revelation.

Children Must Now Repudiate Their Apostate Parents

Here we are in February 2020 and Mormon god has sent a new revelation by way of the General Handbook.  It’s in section 38.4, “Issuing Temple Recommends in Specific Circumstances.”

This is a very important part of the Handbook.  Mormons believe that one can’t get into heaven without going through the temple.  In order to enter a temple, one MUST possess a temple recommend.  And here’s the rub.  There is a new qualifying stipulation that directly affects my kids.

Subsection 38.4.4:  Members Whose Close Relatives Belong to Apostate Groups

Bishops and their counselors must take exceptional care when issuing recommends to members whose parents or other close relatives belong to or sympathize with apostate groups.  They should not be made to feel unworthy by mere association.  However, such members must demonstrate clearly that they repudiate these apostate religious teachings before they may be issued a recommend.

My thoughts on the apostles’ new policy:

  1. Hypocrites.  They claim to be a family church.  All the while they work so hard to rip  families apart.  They are either blind as bats in outer darkness or they are spiteful and greedy to maintain their billions safely tucked away in their massive treasury.
  2. Church leaders must take EXCEPTIONAL CARE.   Exceptional care isn’t mandated for anything else.  Not for children’s protection.  Not for the temple.  Not even for the vaunted covenant path.  Only regarding REPUDIATION of apostate parents.
  3. What does exceptional care even mean?  Is the bishop supposed to grill the children of Sam Young 10 times before they are satisfied that parental REPUDIATION is complete?  Lie detector?  Waterboard?  It’s just silly
  4. A member whose parents.  That is the one and only relationship that is specifically named.  Oh that funny god of the Mormons.  Inserting division and suspicion into what should be one of the most cherished relationships on the planet.
  5. They should not be made to feel unworthy by mere association.  Idiots!  By mere association?  They are talking about my daughters and me.  Children and their father.  They have the audacity and hubris to state to my children that they shouldn’t feel unworthy by mere association.  What the hell does that imply?  Should they feel unworthy if our relationship is more than mere?  Like maybe an association filled with respect and love?  Would that make them unworthy?   Should they feel unworthy if they….um…talk to me, if we discuss thoughts and opinions and life?  BTW, who writes these vacuous policies?
  6.  “Such members must demonstrate clearly that they repudiate these apostate religious teachings.”  First off, this is bad paragraph construction.  Nowhere are apostate teachings referenced in the preceding two sentences.  Looks like LDS god needs to go back to grammar school.  But, I’ll be kind and give their deity the benefit of the doubt.  I’ll assume that the apostate teachings referenced are the teachings that I have espoused since March 2017:  No one-on-one interviews and No sexually explicit questions to children.  These are my apostate teachings.  These are the teachings that got me excommunicated.  They are part of who Sam Young is.  The high and mighty Mormon corporation demands that my children REPUDIATE me!!!  Well…that is if they want to get into heaven.  Anywhere else, this is known as extortion.

Repudiation Requited

Dear Mormon Apostles,

Time for my own effort at repudiation.  I REPUDIATE you and your corporate church.  In case you don’t know what the word means here, you go:

  1. Refuse to accept
  2. Reject as untrue
  3. Reject as unjust
  • I repudiate your make believe authority.
  • I repudiate your truth claims.  They are blatantly false.  Any third party observer plainly sees it.  Your members are fleeing in droves as their eyes are opened.
  • I repudiate your claims to be the church of Jesus Christ.  Your doctrines are racist, homophobic, misogynistic and put children in danger.
  • I repudiate your attempt to drive a wedge between me and my family.   You are demanding that my children repudiate their father in order receive the highest heavenly reward.  You bastards.  Yeah, you heard me…you bastards.  I REPUDIATE YOU.

I pray and hope that someday you chose to repent and repudiate your unchristian doctrines.  Fortunately, there is precedent as many of your horrid practices have been revised or completely reversed since your church’s inception.

  1. One word: CULT
What other normal Christian Church imposes such control tactics?!
    None.
‘The Great and Abominable Church’ identified as The Catholic Church by early Mormon prophets, would even shudder.
This is a kidnapping. Then instilling a type of Stockholm Syndrome where the child won’t know who the enemy is.
What the hell happened to Jesus’ plan being ‘FREE WILL’
While Satan’s plan was ‘FORCED OBEDIENCE?’
For a great video explaining why this is cult behavior, an as such, very dangerous, see below. Sam. I’m mad as hell. I feel a new fight we must fight. Not sure what or how, but this needs to hit the media and be exposed for what we know it is. It isn’t innocent. It’s pointed and directed to destroy free thought, and love and trust within families. Not to mention, dump tons of guilt and shame on your daughters and any children in this situation, making them choose between church(equating itself with God) and loving father.
We ‘have not yet begun to fight.’
They think they squashed a gnat, they swallowed a camel.

  2. Sam❤️❤️❤️
My heart aches for those of you who are victims of this religious trauma. The audacity of the Mormon church knows no limits. I am hopeful you and your family will navigate this with the integrity and determination you have brought to the wonderful cause you spent championing the last few years. YOU GOT THIS. YOU ARE THE MAN!!!! Sending love, strength, peace, and everything good your way.

  3. First of all, there are sooooo many logical fallacies in this, its disgusting. Second, you are still clearly angry at being excommunicated ( i know you will twist this and say you are angry at other things, but the truth is in the pudding here). Third, just walk away already. This policy isn’t about you (I know you have always tried to make yourself more important than you really are), you aren’t the only apostate in the world (not event the most popular), and you are getting no where with these rants. You just display yourself as an agngry story telling old man….

    1. Ha! Logical fallacies. Your corporation is full of logical fallacies, frauds and falsities. This isn’t about me. Hey buddy, I have been labeled by your church as apostate. So this is directly related to me. Walk away? Why the hell doesn’t the church walk away. They keep poking me in the eye. And besides that, I still have grandchildren in the clutches of the corporation. Enmeshed in a culture where behind-closed-doors interviews where sex questions are fair game. No, I won’t walk away. That would be opposed to my sense of morality. I’ll walk away when my children and grand children are safe.

    2. Jim I related on every level to what he wrote here and he has made a difference. He and everyone else don’t have to nor need to leave it alone. The cult stole 38 years of my life and thousands upon thousands of dollars and hours and I’ll move on only when I want and need to. Sam Young is a hero to many and hell yes he’s angry.

I also repudiate the mormon cult’s teachings and leaders. Fuck those old ass hats and their billions. They hoard money because they know it’s going to fail like any other pyramid scheme. 2nd coming my ass. People like you won’t shame and silence us like you do inside the church. It’s a bunch of tapir shit. You can be the one to Move on instead of reading apostate literature.

  4. It’s super funny how people twist the words of others to make it fit their agenda. I believe the section from the handbook being quoted here says the individual must “repudiate the apostate teachings”. Number 1 it never says repudiate their parents. Number 2 it’s only “apostate teaching” if you believe God’s word and if you want to be part of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Number 3 if you don’t want to be a member of said church, why is it an issue for you?

    1. It’s funny how people in the church can’t see how their church’s policies affect people outside the church…and often don’t see how it affects marginalized members inside their church. I tried to explain it in the article. Obviously, my writing isn’t good enough to communicate why I have an issue with this policy.

  5. You should read what it says. NOT what you have claimed. It says “teachings”. It DOES NOT say anything about people. This has not changed and has been about the polygamist teachings of those religions.

    1. It says nothing about polygamous teachings. If that’s what they meant they need to provide peep stones to the bishops so they can get the true message of what’s not there.

  6. Dear Sam … As I see this scenario, by far, the most effective solution would be to GET YOUR FAMILY OUT OF THE CHURCH as opposed to attempting to GET THE CHURCH OUT OF YOUR FAMILY … so to speak.

The Brethren are operating a money-grubbing Mind Control Cult whose business model is to harvest (extort) 10%+ from its duped and clueless marks. Brainwashed members actually believe paying tithing is for THEIR OWN PERSONAL BENEFIT … and do not even think about the possibility The Brethren and their nepo-cronies are the actual benefactors. Members believe they are PAYING TITHING TO JESUS. The fact that Jesus’ bank accounts are in Salt Lake City under someone else’s name escapes their awareness somehow.

Expecting The Brethren to change colors and cease being who they are … parasite predators exploiting brainwashed babies for a living … just ain’t gonna happen.

We can get angry with a drunk for going into a bar until the cows come home … until we’re blue in the face … until the sun burns out … or even … until Jesus comes again. The drunk does not care how we feel … does not care how angry we are about the people the drunk is impacting with his destructive addiction.

The drunk is gonna drink. It’s what drunks do. They drink. They do not care about ANYTHING else.

I realize you have lots of “skin in the game” … literally lots of skin with your personal DNA in every cell. I mean your daughters and your grandkids, of course. By now you personally realize from your own experience just how wonderful it is to leave the Mind Control Cult behind … but for you it’s more like escaping a burning building, only to realize that too many of the people you love the most are still inside the building and maybe don’t even know it’s on fire … yet. Hopefully they will notice the smoke and suspect danger.

    Having said all that …

Sam, I respect your free will and choice. I support whatever you choose to do with your heartbeats … your time and energy and resources. I support whatever fights you choose to fight … for whatever motivations prompt you to make those decisions.

There’s a genuine LionHeart beating strongly in your chest. You are a true champion of those whom The Brethren have wounded and injured and cast into the ditch (and even killed … lives ended) … as collateral damage they could not care less about.

The Brethren paint themselves in colors of righteousness and piety. Then have the brazen audacity to pimp out Jesus Christ as their cover and camouflage … when in reality they are WHITE COLLAR CRIMINALS who would all be in prison if true justice were served.

Sam, you have been the life-saving catalyst whose public display of affection for the teachings of Jesus has triggered who-knows-how-many like-minded, like-hearted souls to GET THEMSELVES AND THEIR FAMILIES OUT OF THE CHURCH to fresh air and safety … safe from the toxic poison also egregiously misbranded as the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ.

And yet … Sam Young will not rest until ALL are safe from being harmed by the Wolves in Jesus Robes … whether still in harm’s way inside the Church … or hopefully … eventually … safety escaped to safety.

I love you, my dear friend … and support you in whatever fights you decide to take on. The fact you are NOT SILENT in the face of the ongoing spiritual carnage impacting the lives of literally millions of human beings caught in toxic quicksand will help even more precious souls to wake up and drink some blessed coffee.

    1. Ha! “Wake up and drink some blessed coffee.” Here I sit at my computer with a cup of black coffee in my formerly temple handshake-stained hand.

      Love you brother.

By the way, I don’t know if you are aware. Our good friend Janice passed away a few weeks ago. I’ll miss her sharp and friendly barbs spread amongst my blog posts. Along with your numerous and humorous responses.

      1. Sorry to hear Janice is no longer with us. The good news is what she discovered upon returning to Our True Home (aka the Spirit Realm). It is populated with neverMos and exMos. There’s no such thing as a TBM in the Spirit Realm. If you are curious to go look up Joseph Smith and check in with him, you will find him still laughing and slapping his knee over and over … going “How many millions of clueless dupes actually BELIEVED my bullshit stories? And how many BILLIONS of dollars have been harvested so far … because people actually believe my story about God and Jesus hovering above me in the woods that fine day … that never happened? Over one hundred billion dollars? Geeze! I think I’ll reincarnate as Rusty’s great grandkid so I can spend some of that loot. I’ll only get one eternal companion at a time, but all that money will be worth the sacrifice. With that much pocket change, I can buy whatever extracurricular entertainment suits my fancy. You can buy anything with money.”

  7. According to the ten commandments we are required to honor our parents and now according to the Corporation, members are required to repudiate their apostate parents. If they cannot prove that they repudiate those apostate teachings, viz. in our case the fact that the LDS “Church” cons people and that the Second Anointing is the biggest lot of rubbish ever, then our children will not to able to participate in sacred temple rites. Those concepts viz. Repudiate, Apostate teachings and Parents merge together…simple semantics. Trolls tend to nit-pick. The issue here is: Chose the greater “commandment”; either obey the commandment given to us by God himself to honor our parents or, to follow the instruction of the Corporation for offspring to repudiate their apostate parents. Hopefully TBMs will now see the absurdity of following such instructions which in actual fact will show that they are indeed members of the Latter-Day Sinners Cult. Hopefully the 3 remaining of our 8 children can acknowledge that the G15 are panicking and blundering. Sam as my dear grandmother would say “Foei tog”…there, there…just carry on. Initially I too was incensed but hopefully our children are intelligent enough to be struck by the contradictions of this instruction. As for the temple rites…no-one who has ever walked this earth requires them.

  8. We have one son-in-law…have not heard from him for a while. He called me last night: ” Hello, Mother how are you?” We chatted for quite a while. He has obviously not “Repudiated” us…. helped us considerably especially after our house burned down 3 years ago. So there!!!

  9. Sam, I have an honest question for you. I really don’t know what it would happen in such a case. Is it possible for someone in your position to go back to the Church? As a member with all his privileges restored. And if yes, what steps should you formally and informally take to make it happen?
